Abstract EN

This research is an academic study to trace the historical development of the phenomenon of luxury at Islamic authority since the Islams Scripture until the fall of the Abbasid Caliphate (656 AH- 1258AD) , considering it the main objective of the study and to show the stages of its emergence and historical dimensions and why the luxury peple violiated the sunnah of their prophet and fascinated by of leisure and its manifestaions , so their behavior was of great importance it has a negative impact on the politics and economy of the Islamic state.

The research presented a historical picture of the feachers of luxury starting from early Islam passing through the Umayyad state and ending with Abbasid era in an attempt and its causes and to clarify the position of Islamic law towards .it as well as identifying its obligations and knowing the sources of supplying the luxury of power and distinguishing it from extravagauce and wast researcg the behaviors of the affluent of the caliphs and presented historical evidence on aspects of it that reached the extreme of exaggeration in luxury and its manifestations such as the luxury of processions,food and drink, singing parties, rap gathering ,and the acquisition of servants and maidservants, which amounted to legendawy numbers.

The research is a set of counlusions that it reached.
