The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in achieving social support for a sample of drug addicts in Aswan, the study is being conducted (20) of addiction patients at the Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Hospital in Aswan and this sample was randomly divided into two equal groups: experimental and control and each group was formed Of (10) addiction patients, and the social support measure was applied to them in the treatment program.

The results of the research reached the effectiveness of the program in achieving social support and the prevention of relapse among the research sample It indicated the presence of statistically significant differences in favor of the post-measurement of the experimental group, as well as the ence of statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-measurements of the control group on the scale of social support and its sub-dimensions, and also indicated the presence of statistically significant differences between the levels of post-measurement levels of the experimental group The control on the scale of social support and its dimensions for the research sample for the benefit of the experimental group, as well as the ence of statistically significant differences between the levels of the degrees of dimensional and consecutive measurement of the experimental group on the scale of social support and its dimensions for the research sample.
