Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the level of tolerance and altruism among teachers in the Kasbah of Oman.

the study worked to compare old and new teachers, and to achieve the goals of the current study, a random sample of teachers consisting of (131) teachers and teachers was chosen, of whom (61) were teachers from the new teachers who were appointed during the first three years, and (70) teachers have gone on to serve in education more than (25) years, two measures have been developed, namely the scale of tolerance and the altruism scale, and their psychometric properties have been verified by honesty and consistency, and the results of the study have reached that the level of tolerance and altruism the teachers generally have a mean, and that there is a positive correlation between tolerance and altruism, and that the level of tolerance among teachers came to old teachers better than new teachers, whereas altruism was higher for new teachers than for old teachers, and based on the results of the current study, some recommendations were made, including : caring for teachers in general, especially old teachers, and directing some programs that concern the aspect of self-development and the human side to help them continue with their psychological and social compatibility.
