Abstract EN

The current study aims to test the effectiveness of a training program to develop knowledge and skills of social entrepreneurship among social workers working in orphan associations in Makkah.

The main hypothesis of the study “There are statistically significant differences between the average of pre and post-application of the training program to develop the knowledge and skills of social workers in favor to the post measurement.

This study belongs to the studies of measuring the outcome of professional intervention in social work.

The quasi-experimental approach was used through the quasi-experimental design of one group.

The training program was applied to 35 social workers from orphan associations.

The questionnaire was used as a tool to measure the level of knowledge and skills of social entrepreneurship among the study participants.

The results of the study concluded that the main hypothesis and the sub-hypotheses are accepted.

The results of the study also showed the effectiveness of the program in developing knowledge of social entrepreneurship, knowledge of social innovation, and also in developing personal and managerial skills for entrepreneurship.

The results of the study also reached a set of proposals aimed at promoting entrepreneurship by developing knowledge and skills of social entrepreneurship among orphans.
