Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the degree of participation of parents of students with disabilities in the individual program for their children and the obstacles they face.

The study sample consisted of (100) parents of students with disabilities, to achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher followed the descriptive and analytical approach and developed the study tool Represented by a questionnaire, the indications of its validity and reliability were verified.

The results of the study indicated that the total degree of participation of parents of students with disabilities in the individual program for their children was high in all its dimensions, except after the participation of the students' parents in the activities and events had a moderate degree, as indicated by the results of The study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of participation of parents of students with disabilities in the individual program for their children due to the scientific qualification variable in favor of holders of a bachelor’s degree, while the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of participation of parents of students with disabilities in the individual program for their children due to a variable The economic level, and the results of the study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of participation of parents of students with disabilities.

The time in the individual program for their children is due to the variable of the type of disability, and finally, the results indicated that there are a number of obstacles that limit the participation of parents of students with disabilities in the individual programs prepared for their children, most notably: the need for parents of people with disabilities to provide them with the information and modern technologies necessary to deal with their children, The lack of awareness campaigns from the government, institutions and other associations.

The study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The need to provide material and moral support to families of people with disabilities by government agencies concerned with social aspects.
