Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness degree of distance learning system during covid19 pandemic as perceived by educational supervisors and school principals in North-West Badia educational directorate.

to answer the questions of the study the researcher selected a sample of (19) supervisors and (54) male and female school principals working at North-West Badia educational directorate during the years of2021 ; the entire population of educational supervisors was selected, and school principals were chosen through simple random selection from the population totaling (147) principals.

the researcher adopted the descriptive survey approach to answer the study questions and achieve its objectives, and the current study tool consisted of (19) items regarding the status of distance education, after presenting it to a group of educational referees.

the findings of the study indicated that the effectiveness degree of distance learning system during covid19 pandemic came in an average level with a mean of (3.44) for principals and (3.03) for supervisors.

there are no significant statistical differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the degree of effectiveness of the distance education system in the North West Badia district from the viewpoint of educational supervisors and school principals according to the educational stage and gender variable, while the results revealed that there are differences according to the job title where they were the differences are in favor of the principals.

the study recommended a set of recommendations : the necessity of providing psychological support programs for students who were unable to keep pace with distance education through plans that enable them to compensate for the lost education.
