Abstract EN

The Haqlaniyah area is of a distinct geographical location, making it a significant area for rural development, especially since it has an area of (248, 390 dunums).

The study aims to identify the natural and human potentials and identify the most crucial obstacles to its development, and to develop its planning alternatives.

Furthermore, the study relied on the descriptive and deductive approach as well as the use of (GIS) techniques in mapping.

The first section addressed rural development and its concept; the second section dealt with the natural geographical potentials affecting rural development; whereas the third section focused on anthropogeographical potentials which are influencing rural development.

Moreover, the fourth section is allotted to the study of alternatives to development and its assessment, through which rural development can be achieved in all its aspects.
