The Lessor in Jordanian and Bahraini law is anyone with legal authority to lease real estate or movable property even if it is in terminal illness or has subsequent conditional ownership, broke, a partner of joint property, the measures of expropriation have been taken against it or it has a mortgage on real-estate.

According to the Jordanian and Bahraini laws, the Lessor may be the owner of the usufruct right, the residential right, the right of use, the right of Musataha (Real-Estate development lease), or has a pawn.

In addition, the Lessor may, in accordance with the aforementioned laws, have a right to be a tenant, a promisee for sale an apartment, preferential, in charge of Waqf, a receiver in bankruptcy, a judicial receiver, an ordinary agent, a guardian, a curator or representative of an ent person.
