This research is concerned with studying the policy of devaluation, the reasons for adopting it, the implications of its application and the suitability of this policy to the reality of the Iraqi economy.

This study aimed to analyze the negative effects of devaluation on the overall variables in the Iraqi economy.

The study also reached many conclusions, including that the devaluation of the Iraqi dinar had many negative consequences, including increased inflationary pressures and a decrease in the purchasing power of individuals.
