Abstract EN

This research aims to develop mechanisms to activate the role of Agricultural Secondary Schools in economic development in the light of Egypt's vision 2030.

Presenting the concept of economic development and some related concepts, the role of education in achieving it and the requirements dictated by the era of knowledge economy.

Reference is made to Egypt's ranking progress in some global knowledge index sectoral indicators, a presentation of the school's components (human, material, financial) while perceiving its weakness that affected its economic dimension.

Presenting its relationship to Egypt's 2030 Vision through reviewing the dimensions of the vision, its advantages, disadvantages, programs and performance indicators that were developed for technical education and training.

Reference is made to the weak performance indicators of the agricultural secondary school, while identifying some local and global initiatives and partnerships efforts to realize economic development for the school, and the application of the merit system.

The research was based on the descriptive approach due to its relevance to its nature.

Research results showed the weak contribution of the agricultural secondary school to economic development and deducted a number of mechanisms necessary to activate its role in this regard.

The research presents a number of proposals, the most important of which is conducting complementary studies and research in the field, including the partnership of agricultural and industrial institutions benefiting from graduates of the agricultural school in Egypt in financing and developing them.
