Abstract EN

This research aimed to reveal the requirements of teaching the Arabic language based on communicative competencies in the light of the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 and the mechanisms for implementing these requirements.

To achieve this aim, the research reviewed the communicative competencies by describing and analyzing them and clarifying their concept.

In addition, the research explained the requirements related to the objectives of language education, the content, methods of teaching, activities, and evaluation to rely on communicative competencies in the teaching of the Arabic language.

Also, the mechanisms of implementation of these requirements have been revealed.

Among these requirements and mechanisms, determining communicative competencies needed by students in the different stages of the public education appropriate to the characteristics of their growth, as well as targeting the development of all communicative competencies in each class, and at each stage.

Furthermore, determining the competencies derived from the main communicative competencies, in order to achieve the communicative efficiency required at the end of the general education stages.

Moreover, relying on long and short texts with full meaning when planning Arabic language curricula.

The research ended with a number of recommendations and research proposals.
