The study aimed to identify the academic development, its obstacles and requirements developed for faculty members at University of Hail In addition to determining statistically significant differences in the sample belonging to" The reality, obstacles, and requirements for success" the academic development for faculty members at the University of Hail that it causes to some variables of the study.

The study was applied to faculty members at University of Hail.

The study relied on a descriptive approach.

The most important results are : Regarding by Academic Development, The aspects that practiced less at the university are: The University encouraged the faculty members to join the professional associations and scientific.

The university supports the faculty member to participate at the scientific conferences outside the university.

the university suppofts the faculty member to attending conferences and training courses outside the university.

The University holds the marketing of special scientific production for the faculty member.

Record and display the typical lessons carried out by special faculty members.

Regarding by Obstacles to academic development, The most pressing obstacles in the study are The lack of incentives for special faculty members.

Frequent and administrative burdens on the faculty member.

The lack of incentives and self-professional development.

The lack of studies to determine the faculty member training requirements.

Regarding by Academic Development success of the requirements was the most important results include: facilitate the attendance and participation in scientific conferences.

Create the right climate for the establishment of professional development programs for faculty member.

Develop a system to reward the special faculty member.

Encourage faculty members to develop himself professionally.

The establishment Of an independent center for academic development programs for teachers to increase their effectiveness.

The establishment of units for professional development for faculty member.

Involve a faculty member in the planning of professional development programs.

Linking the rewards for faculty professional development Of academic degree.

The main recommendations of the study include: Support and facilitate the attendance procedures and the participation of faculty in scientific conferences and training courses.
