Abstract EN

The research deals with the religious beliefs of the ancient Iraqi peoples in the Holy Quran, a historical study (monotheism and polytheism as an example).

It was divided into two main axes, the first of which dealt with an overview of these peoples, while the second axis dealt with monotheism and polytheism.

From the entirety of this study it became clear that these people are the Sumerian people of Noah، the people of Abraham the Amorites and the people of Yunus the Assyrians.

The Noble Qur’an provided very important and accurate information about its religion, some of which support what specialists and researchers have reached about this religion، such as engaging in divinity and deism and embodying the ancient Iraqi deities in the form of statues and idols, and some of them are the only ones mentioned by the Holy Qur’an, such as the recognition of these people in the existence of God Almighty And her belief that God alone is the Creator and Creator of everything, as well as the faith of the people of the Prophet Yunus in God، glory be to Him, and their unification of Him
