Abstract EN

The study aimed to create comics from the descriptive narratives of Tayeb Salih’s stories.

It also aimed to identify the stages of the art of designing comics characters from told stories to visual formations.

The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach to prove or negate its hypotheses.

The study concluded with drawing comics with clear Sudanese features that combined their descriptions in narrative texts with the methods of comics drawing.

Based on these results, clear procedural steps have been developed for designing the novelistic characters on the comics approach, which are summarized in the following: 1/1 The basics of drawing the human figure and anatomy are exploited and applied in creating characters 2/1 Drawing characters depends on four factors: clarity, realism, dynamism, and continuity 3/1 The necessity of designing the images of the characters in three separate categories and displaying them in a way that indicates the comic planning in the form of a sequence.4/ Informing the recipient about the level of character production for this art differs from one artist to another according to his style, culture, and artistic experience.

Finally, the study recommends the following: 1/1 When drawing comics, the basics of drawing and anatomy should be used.

2/1 Attention should be paid to the stories of Sudanese writers in extracting characters that are directed to young people in ways consistent with their lifestyle.
