Abstract EN

The study aims to find out the extent of employing social media Websites by practitioners in public relations in their work.

The descriptive analytical approach was adopted in which a sample of workers in the ministry of higher education and scientific research was randomly selected.

Many questions were posed in the study; the most important was the one about the extent of employing social media sites in administering public relations activities.

A questionnaire and an observation were conducted.

Findings revealed that the administration of public relations employ these social media sites very efficiently, especially Facebook which is the most prominent.

According, many recommendations were made including the necessity of funding to the internet infrastructure in practical and scientific terms, and giving more attention to other social media sites as well (e.g.

WhatsApp, Twitter and the rest).
