Abstract EN

The study dealt with the subject of the aesthetics of contemporary mural painting, it aimed at activating the role of external and internal mural painting to develop the general taste of community members in the Sudanese environment, and to direct the behavior of individuals towards aesthetic and creative values through the artistic culture performed by mural artwork.

Definition of mural painting, its relation to environment and architecture, association of mural painting to culture and society, modern technology, the social environment of the artist, contemporary mural painting, urban public space for mural painting, graffiti art, political murals and their connection to revolutionary societies, and awareness murals of the Corona pandemic.

The study is a descriptive and analytical approach, by describing and analyzing the study samples whose size was (5) samples.

The study tools consisted of a personal interview with some artists, art professors and specialists in the art of mural painting, in order to know their scientific and practical experiences.

Among the most important findings of the study, the use of vocabulary from local cultures, cultural heritage, and national and patriotic issues in mural paintings, is welcomed by the community, and the mural becomes a shrine for taking pictures, so the mural is to add a new landmark to the place and the place becomes aesthetic, functional and utilitarian value, and the study recommended b.

Activating the link between the higher administrations of the state and localities, deans of fine arts colleges, art students, fine artists, those interested and art enthusiasts in directing art projects and beautifying cities and their entrances through mural works with internal and external spaces, in streets, parks, and squares, in order to create a visual material that enhances In developing the aesthetic taste of community members.
