Abstract EN

This research aimed at revealing educational values implied in Sudanese folk proverbs, and recognizing their importance and functions that can be performed in education and learning.

The researcher used the descriptive method to analyze the content of research sample which contained (37%) of the research population (170).

The research has found out several results such as, Sudanese folk proverbs represent an important element of educational heritage in Sudan.

There also characterized in contributing in transferring of knowledge and experience of the previous generations.

Moreover, the Sudanese folk proverbs contained on a lot of educational values in social, humanitarian, psychological, economic, and political field.

The research has recommended several recommendations: Including popular proverbs in school curricula at various academic stages, especially general courses, exploiting social media to spread educational values in a simple and easy way, and making popular proverbs an effective means and aid in the cohesion of Sudanese society.
