In order to establish a sort of balance between women and men, Algeria, like other Arab countries, has subscribed to a number of international conventions and agreements.

It has subsequently affirmed this in its constitutions and laws in favor of women's rights, including women's participation in politics.

This law, which supports women's political participation, was enshrined in the 2008 constitution and has an independent article that includes Algeria's commitment to promoting women's political rights.

According to this article, the constitution is committed to the principles enshrined in the CEDAW agreement.

However, the constitution is an essential support in the field of the promotion of women's rights.

And Article 5 in particular, called for all positive measures to be taken to achieve real equality between men and women.
