The international community has been concerned with protecting human rights through international and regional conventions and covenants to which states have committed themselves, but which have assigned children special protection, whether at the level of national or international legislation, especially in times of armed conflict.

International humanitarian law guarantees children special protection during armed conflicts.

Subject to special respect, therefore, it is imperative to define the special legal system for the child by studying the concept of the child from a legal point of view in the framework of both international humanitarian law and the law of armed conflict.
