Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of professional compatibility of secondary school teachers in public and private schools and its relationship in promoting the job engagement from their perspectives.

the study used the descriptive relational method.

the sample of the study consisted of (322) male and female in public and private secondary schools in Amman governorate/university district, and with a percentage (16%) of the total study population, the study sample was chosen in the stratified random method, and in order to achieve the aims of the study a questionnaire was developed, and consists of two parts, the first part: to measure the level of professional compatibility, and it consisted of (60) items distributed in five domains, and the second part : to measure the level of job engagement, and it consisted of (26) items after ensuring its validity and consistency.

the results of the study were: the level of professional compatibility of secondary school teachers in public and private schools came (moderate) degree, the level of job engagement among secondary school teachers in public and private schools came (moderate) level.

there is a statistical significant positive relationship between all the domains of (level of professional compatibility), and between all the domains of (job engagement).

according to the study results, the study recommends : by increasing interest in the work environment of educational institutions and turning it into an attractive environment, increasing the incentives provided to teachers to urge them to give and achieving achievement, and increasing the job correlation of teachers.
