The work contract in the sports field is characterized by a peculiarity mainly related to the nature of the contact that binds the athelete (the worker) to the club (the employer), which in this case is an indefinite work contract in nature due to several considerations, including the physical activity of the athlete and the skills that diminish as he ages, in addition to some provisions that may be included in this contract, including the obligation not to compete, which takes on a special character here, as well as the strict framing of the athlete's private life and everything related to the sports equipment used by him.

the peculiarity of this contract is also evident through the disciplinary authority and the method of resolving disputes arising from this type of contract, which differs from those recognized in regular work contracts.
