Abstract EN

The research aims to analyze the relationship between the average return and risk in all listed companies for the purpose of determining financial investment decisions and knowing the extent of their impact on the Iraqi market for securities, and (40) shares were selected for all companies listed in the Iraqi market for securities during the period (2015-2019) In addition, the indicators of average return and risk were tested with advanced statistical tools and the application of the (SPSS) program, thus reaching the most prominent conclusions achieved.

Significant between the average return of listed companies and the risk, thus explaining the positive relationship between them, and the most important recommendations of the research are the need to work on developing the Iraqi stock market by providing human expertise capable of keeping pace with modern developments that help investors direct their shares towards companies that achieve the best return and the least risk.
