Abstract EN

The current research aims to study the reality of the state of the Iraqi economy through the general budget, which includes both public revenues and public expenditures, and ways to exit from the rentier feature by relying heavily on oil revenues, through following the policy of economic diversification and activating non-oil revenues by activating and developing sectors Agriculture, industry and the service sector, as well as the involvement of the private sector side by side with the public sector.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to deal with information and data related to the subject of the research over a specific period of time (2004-2020), and using local, Arab and international reports issued by the United Nations and the World Bank and surveys of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning-the Central Statistical Organization and the Ministry of Finance - the Budget Department and previous studies related relevance.
