This research aims to achieve the following goal: to identify the obstacles faced by teachers of forensic sciences in colleges of education when they use modern teaching strategies, and to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach.

A stratified random sample was selected from the research community, and the research sample consisted of (81) male and female teachers of Sharia sciences in the faculties of education and built the research tool, and it consisted of two parts: the first section included respondents' data, and the second section related to modern teaching strategies, which included (22) items.

Five alternatives were placed in front of each paragraph ( very large, large, medium, few and very few) for the respondents to choose one of them that represents his answer, and weights were determined for these alternatives, respectively (5, 4, 3, 2, 1).

The search tool provides an indicator of validity ( content validity), and the stability of the tool was calculated in two ways: the half-segmentation method and the analysis of variance, and the tool was characterized by honesty and reliability.

The researcher used the following statistical methods: Chi-square, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown equation, alpha-Cronbach equation, frequency, weighted mean, weight percentile, standard deviation.

The researcher reached the following results: The degree of availability of obstacles that prevent or limit the use of modern teaching strategies in teaching Islamic Sciences from the point of the view of the teachers was high with an arithmetic mean (3, 77) and a percentage weight of (75, 40), and the degree of availability of obstacles that hinder modern teaching strategies in the teaching of Islamic Sciences in the faculties of education, from the point of view of its teachers, came to a very high degree for the obstacles related to the student, then to a high degree for the obstacles related to the teaching environment and modern teaching strategies, and to a medium degree for the obstacles related to the teachers.

In the light if these results, the researcher reached conclusions, including: The use of modern strategies in teaching requires more time and effort from the teacher than if teaching by traditional methods, and that the large number of students hinders a lot from applying modern teaching strategies in addition to the narrow space of the classrooms, and that students become accustomed to traditional teaching methods and methods are among the most important obstacles that make them more dependent on the teacher in explaining the material, and it leads to the weakness of their higher-order thinking skills and their lack of acceptance and interaction with modern teaching strategies.

In light of the results of the research, several recommendations were made, including: Training teachers of Sharia Sciences to use modern strategies in teaching through courses and workshops to enable them to apply those strategies during the service period, finding appropriate solutions to address the problem of student numbers, and the need to provide an appropriate educational environment for the use of modern strategies and the provision of educational aids.

In light of the results of the research, several proposals were put forward, including: conducting a study on larger samples to find out the obstacles that prevent the use of modern strategies in other study stages and subjects, and conducting a study to find out the obstacles to using modern teaching strategies and developing solutions
