Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the contribution of the industrial designer in providing compensatory aids to persons with disabilities, especially in Sudan, which take the problems of the disabled and their suffering as projects that need island solutions and in which those involved are involved to benefit from their experiences, expertise and opinions to reach innovative and effective design solutions by providing innovative solutions and ideas taking into account all aspects and requirements of project design (form, function, use, and compatibility with the environment).

the study was applied to samples of project models submitted by students and graduates over several years in the department of industrial design at the university of Sudan.

the importance of this study lies in highlighting the role of industrial designers and their ability to solve many design problems that are reflected in the social situation.

the study also aims to shed light on the capabilities and skills of designers to solve the problem of compensatory aids for the disabled in addition to documenting the experiences of designers to become a reference for use in future studies and research.

and also gives an indication of the direction of the design pattern in the future and how to properly practice the design process, especially in Sudan.

scientific institutions can benefit from them when they start to provide assistance.

we hope that this study helps in knowing whether there is a need to organize some courses and workshops in the fields of design, which can contribute to raising the scientific competence of designers.
