Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the factors that lead to violence against men in Palestinian society.

The researchers used in this study the descriptive approach.

The study population included citizens from the West Bank, while the study sample consisted of (196) citizens.

They were randomly chosen and the study used a questionnaire that was designed to collect data and information.

The study ended with a set of conclusions, the most prominent of which is that factors related to men are the most determinant ones leading to violence against them, followed by external factors (factors outside the family), factors related to women, with verbal violence being the most common type of violence against men in Palestinian society, then psychological violence, and finally physical violence.

The study concluded with a number of recommendations, the most prominent of which is that the problem of violence against men is dealt with by criminal justice systems as a gender problem, and not as a male or female problem
