Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the psychological and social rule of the services provided by the social service within the hospital and its contribution to the speedy recovery of patients in government psychiatric hospitals in Khartoum state, and the researcher followed the descriptive and case study approaches.

the study community represents the beneficiaries of services inside the hospital and they are the patients who receive these services through the social worker, who number (180) patients distributed over 4 psychiatric hospitals.

a random sample of (180) patients was selected the questionnaire was used as a means to collect information and the data was processed and analyzed by descriptive statistics.

the results indicated that 73% assert that the social worker does not direct the patient to economic support institutions, but rather that all services are psychological and moral only.

and 23% confirmed the existence of material support, which confirms the existence of financial support, but it is not required relatively simple.

and 90% confirmed that social services are of high importance and contribute to the success of the treatment plan, which positively affects the patients' response to treatment.

also, 87% assured that the services make them feel completely comfortable and stable, especially when they leave the hospital, and this means that it works to reintegrate them into society.
