English Abstract

The Arab world's demand for water has increased during the past twenty years with the increase in the population and the transformation of most of society into a consumer society, and the amount of water invested in 1993 was approximately 168 billion cubic meters per year, available and investable water represents 50% of the resources.

In the past twenty years, the Arab world's demand for water has increased, accompanied by an increase in the population, and firstly due to the impact of the scientific revolution, the Arab society has turned into a consumer society.

As a result, its consumption of water resources has increased by more than 50% of its available and investable resources.

As we all know, irrigated agriculture in the Arab world plays a major role in increasing agricultural production, because it accounts for more than 13% of the world's arable land and its production represents more than 35% of the total world production
