The marine insurance contract is considered to be one of the covering contracts, in which both parties are bound by reciprocal obligations, whereby the insuring company coverage of the losses that befall the interests of the insured regarding every marine transport.

In return for this commitment, the insured is obligated to pay the premium specified in the contract, as well as providing the insured's with the correct and accurate and necessary data about the guaranteed risk.

This is to clarify the insured's vision about the nature and scope of the risk, so that he can then determine the instalments necessary to cover this risk.

In the midst of this study, we will work on detailing the obligations of both the insuring and the insured, with an attempt to lift the confusion or ambiguity that impaired some of the clauses included in contracts by insurance companies, as the latter are a strong party in the contractual relationship.
