التغطية الصحفية للموضوعات الخدمية في الصحافة العراقية : (دراسة تحليلية في جريدة الزمان العراقية من 1 6 الى 31 8 2014)‎

Abstract EN

This study (press coverage of service topics in the Iraqi press) seeks to know the role of the press in dealing with the service aspect of the citizen represented by the topics (education, health, electricity and security), especially with the diversity of media that enjoy public attention.

The researcher posed the research problem with a set of questions, and he identified them as follows: What are the most important service topics that received the attention of the newspaper? What are the journalistic arts used by Al-Zaman newspaper in presenting service topics? What are the methods of press coverage adopted in the newspaper? The research relied on the survey method, using the content analysis tool for the journalistic arts used in the Iraqi Al-Zaman newspaper, through a comprehensive inventory of the research community from 1/6/2014 to 31/8/2014.

The study reached a set of results: 1- The service topics under study that the newspaper gave attention to are (security, electricity, health and education) in which the (security topic) was presented to occupy the highest percentage of (38.9% ) in Al-Zaman newspaper.2- (The report) ranked first in the scale of journalistic arts with the frequency of news related to service topics, with a number of (81) and a percentage of (39% ).3- The press coverage based on analysis and interpretation in comparison to other types of coverage ranked first with a number (57) and a percentage of (27.4% ).
