Abstract EN

The Article aims to examine the forms of civil and criminal liability governing the judicial police, as the Algerian legislator was keen acknowledge the personal freedom of the judicial police, and restrict them when carrying out their duties under penalty of nullity after attaching substantive penalty to the personal penalty for the officer's mistakes whether it was a civil error, or criminal error.

The study concluded that linking deviation from the duties of a judicial police officer to civil, and criminal penalties all serve to protect the guarantees, and the freedoms of the suspects.
