Abstract EN

Mosques are considered one of the most venerable and highest holy places on the earth, but rather the holiest of them because In addition to being a place where Muslims gather to perform their rituals, they mobilize the nation ( Ummah) at the scientific and cultural level, and despite this key role assigned to mosques, these pure places have witnessed some aggressions recently.

In general, this study has been keen to shed light on the legal nature of mosques, the justifications and images of their protection in the Algerian legislation, whether those determined in general rules such as the constitution, penal code, and civil law, or according to special legal texts.
