The substantive choice- of- law Rules are a type of conflict of laws rule derived from traditional (neutral) choice-of-law rules.

They are based on two main pillars: the material purpose and the connecting factor.

Their is to achieve specific material results, in order to achieve multiple objectives, including: respecting national culture, observing human rights, achieving substantial justice, and embodying public interests and legislative policy.

Their work is governed by three components: multiple criteria of connection, special categories of connection and specific material results.
