The importance of this study lies in evoking a neglected and marginalized history that is about five hundred years away from us, and which rises to the event of the fall of Granada (1492 AD), and Abu Abdullah al-Saghir ceded his kingdom to the Castilians, based on the testimony of simple people, away from official documents, and the narration of those with power, as well as This study attempts to uncover what history has not said, and reveals the writer's critical vision and the extent of her approach to the present.

The aim of this study is to answer a number of questions, the most important of which are: How did the writer Radwa Ashour use history for the benefit of the imaginative novelist? What are the most important technical, semantic and aesthetic techniques that you relied on to convince the reader to see it? And this is through a complex linguistic curriculum that belongs to a (socio / cultural) approach, concerned with technical structures that accept interpretation and pluralism, with reference to other approaches that benefit the subject of the study.

Therefore, the study plan was divided into two axes: the first axis, entitled: Illuminations, and it contains: a description of the novel on the one hand, and the relationship between history and the imaginary on the other hand.
