As commercial arbitration is one of the branches of law, that has an international character because it brings together many people from different regions for deliberation and consideration of cases and others, was one of the areas affected by the Coronavirus.

This is due to the conditions imposed by this pandemic, which prompted most countries of the world to issue laws to impose a state of emergency and restrict the movement of people, which affected the current and future arbitration procedures, but the important observation that should be noted is that international commercial arbitration was less affected by the pandemic.

Corona from litigation before official courts, due to the many peculiarities that characterize it, and the measures taken by institutional arbitration centers to adapt arbitration procedures to these conditions and thus reduce the severity of the pandemic's impact on it.

It is also noted that institutional arbitration was less affected by the effects of this pandemic than free arbitration.
