Knowledge is considered the major necessary base in the establishment of humanitarian developmental projects in various fields.

It is an essential mean in facilitating and diversifying the options available to individuals to develop their abilities, their energies and their potentialities.

Hence, it is imperative to build a knowledge society in which the individual the institution and the state an adult, to be the basis for progress and prosperity.

The current article deals with a conceptual introduction about good governance, as well as the knowledge society and its various dimensions and indicators, as well as the obstacles to establish a knowledge society in the Arab educational environment, with a focus on the importance of knowledge as an inevitable mean in this age in the achievement of good governance which leads to economic superiority and society’s happiness and stability.
