The phenomenon of violence against women is considered one of the most important topics that have received attention on the part of researchers and thinkers in various fields, whether psychological or social in light of social change, in order to mitigate and reduce its effects in the future, and the process of social awareness of individuals about this phenomenon must be expanded to reduce it.

The most important means of social and cultural awareness in civil society to protect women's rights, we find the theater institution, through which purposeful plays are presented that address various issues and problems of a particular community, and in this article we will discuss the role of theater in spreading social awareness of the issue of violence against women in order to protect them from During the presented plays dealing with this topic, using the analytical and descriptive method, and through this study, we reached the extent of the effectiveness of theater as a sociocultural institution in expanding the process of awareness among individuals of various societal issues, including both satisfactory and health.
