Abstract EN

This research paper aims to clarify concepts that are related to corporate governance for state-owned enterprises, and to determine the managerial methods used in Algerian state-owned enterprises, and to stand over Somiphos' adoption of corporate governance's principles.

Using the corporate governance progress matrix, the study found that company's management is influenced by politics, the composition of its board of directors is inappropriate, and the market has no role in controlling company's management.

Therefore, Somiphos' governance is weak, and it meets only some items of 2 stars level in the matrix.
