Abstract EN

This study deals with the idea of electronic voting as a guarantee to achieve the integrity of the electoral process.

It highlights the essence of electronic voting by presenting its concept, characteristics, and patterns, then the study showed what the integrity of the electoral process is by clarifying the concept and conditions for the integrity of the electoral process as well as the guarantees to achieve integrity of the electoral process, then the study dealt with estimating the electronic voting system by explaining the desired advantages of applying the electronic voting system as well as the defects that may accompany its application.

The study ended up with a number of results, the most important of which is that the electronic voting system achieves many advantages, such as that it saves the high costs of the electoral process, and achieves accurate results.

The research concludes with several recommendations, the most important of which are amending the legislation on voting procedures and approving the principles of electronic voting in two phases, namely the stage of voting at polling stations via electronic touch screens in committees as a first stage, and then the stage of voting from home through the website of the electoral authority
