Educational and educational institutions usually seek to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of all their employees, including teachers, in order to bring them to a state of excellence and excellence and raise the best levels, and this can only happen through the interest of these institutions to develop and develop their performance by following modern methods of educational, technical and administrative work.

It is well known that the problem of school sports in Iraq in general is not only the problem of buildings, facilities and squares or lack of equipment, but has come to more than that, as some teachers of the subject of sports education do not enjoy sufficient effective performance and related in the light of overall quality management.

Therefore, there is an urgent need for the teacher to manage his own work and to try to invest the most effective and effective means and abilities, so that this has a positive impact on sports institutions that house athletes from educational and educational institutions.

The importance of this research lies in knowing the level of effective performance of the teacher in the light of the overall quality management in the schools of the Basra-Center Directorate of Education, through a combination of factors related to effective performance such as scientific competence, professional competence, personal and behavioral traits, functional loyalty and social relations, in addition to attention and focus on serious handling in the control of overall quality standards, and its role in achieving the effective performance of the teacher in the management of the study of sports education.

The researcher used the descriptive curriculum to suit this study on a random sample of teachers of physical education in the schools of the Basra Education Directorate - the center, and the study community is made up of all (512) teachers.

The study's questionnaire was distributed to a sample of (183) teachers and (166) questionnaires were answered, while the other questionnaires were not recovered.

The researcher applied to them the measure of effective performance, and after ascertaining its sincerity and consistency, the researcher concluded that effective performance has an important role in achieving overall quality management, by applying its principles on the ground, which contributes to a high degree of development and upgrading by emphasizing the various administrative processes associated with it.

Accordingly, the researcher recommends further research and studies that are interested in developing and enhancing the effective performance of the teachers of the study of sports education within the principles and principles of overall quality management at different levels of study.
