The study aimed to identify: - Building a recitation strategy scale.

- Identifying the relationship between the recitation strategy and cognitive achievement in the subject of teaching methods for third year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Tikrit University.

To achieve the research objectives, the researcher assumed: - There is a statistically significant relationship between the recitation strategy and the cognitive achievement of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, third stage, in the subject of teaching methods.

The researcher used the descriptive approach for its suitability to the nature of his research, and for this purpose, the researcher used a questionnaire designed by him after verifying the psychometric characteristics of him on the research sample consisting of (100) students from the third study stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Tikrit.

The cognitive achievement test was conducted after the completion of the scale construction, and after data collection and unloading, they were treated statistically using the statistical program (SPSS), and the t-test for samples, the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, and the simple correlation coefficient (Pearson.

( After statistical treatment and the appearance of the results, the researcher reached a number of conclusions, including: - The contribution of the recitation strategy to increasing students' cognitive achievement in Physical Education Teaching Methods- There is a positive relationship in students' acquisition of cognitive achievement and the use of the recitation strategy.
