Financial failure is a problem that institutions may fall into in light of the fluctuations of the financial and economic environment, which may lead them to an early bankruptcy, so many studies have tried to adopt models to predict financial failure in order to protect institutions and facilitate economic dealings, but the determinants of financial failure are multiple and manifold, concerning all financial decisions and the variables of the financial environment.

we will try to focus on the extent of the impact of the decision to distribute profits in hedging against financial failure, considering that this decision affects the investment decision and the financing decision and thus affects the financial position of the institution and its continuity.

This article studies the possibility of avoiding financial failure by relying on the dividend policy, by studying the case of institution listed on the Algiers Stock Exchange for the period from 2012 to 2019.
