Abstract EN

This study aimed to evaluate the performance of a sample of active banks in Algeria, which are the International Bank of Algeria and Algeria-Gulf Bank, during the period (2015-2019).

This is done through an analytical study using the economic added value index (MVA), and this is based on the banks' financial statements.

This study reached a set of results, including: the International Bank of Algeria is weak in investing its money in profit-generating investments, the efficiency of AGB in using its own funds to achieve profits Which is considered more financially solid compared to the International Bank of Algeria (BEA), an addition Evaluating the performance of banks allows knowing their financial position ; and their ability to meet the loans provided to them based on their deposits.
