Abstract EN

This research deals with teaching in Algeria during the Ottoman period, through to addressing the situation of teaching, his types, and curriculums, and the means used in teaching, such as Teachers, libraries and books, as well as the existing educational institutions.

Consequently, we have found that teaching was widespread in the Ottoman period, especially the primary level, but remained simple and traditional, dominated by religious sciences and mysticism.
