The former Libyan Prime Minister, Muhammad Othman al-Said, is one of the prominent figures who played a pivotal role in the contemporary history of Libya and one of its most important men, because of his clear fingerprints in various political, economic and social fields.

He contributed to fighting the French occupiers, and laid the foundations of the monarchy.

The Libyan, by amending the constitution, served the Libyan people in several ministries, including health and finance, as well as being prime minister from 1960-1963.

He ended his political and professional life by relinquishing the premiership, which prompted some historians to call him the architect of Libya's unification.
