Multiple personality disorder is a psychiatric disorder.

It differs completely from schizophrenia.

It is defined by many personalities that coexist within one body and mind, each of which is sufficiently integrated to have relatively stable life of its own and recurrently to take full control of the persons behavior.

A least one of the personalities is amnesic for the experiences of the other(s).

People with multiple personality disorder are responsible for crimes committed by one personality if that personality knew right from wrong at the time of the crime.
