The African continent is defined as an agricultural civilization from the far north to the far south, and from east to west, with its abundant agricultural resources qualified for it, we try in this paper to highlight the most important agricultural qualifications of the continent, and the most important challenges faced.

the results showed that although the continent has enormous natural agricultural resources and a huge human capacity with agricultural traditions, it cannot achieve its food security, due to a number of challenges, notably drought and climate variability, as well as the lack of benefit from the relative advantage by some agricultural areas.
