Ensuring the competitiveness of Islamic banks has become a priority for the financial sector's financial and economic policies, and in the face of the challenges faced by the Islamic banking sector in Algeria, the introduction of the principles of financial governance and commitment to the dimensions of social responsibility at the same time in managing and increasing the growth and competitiveness of Islamic banks has become urgent, especially after the shift of investors from traditional financing towards Islamic finance, which is considered less expensive than traditional finance.

Accordingly, this study aims to identify the dimensions of social responsibility and the indicators of the financial governance system of the Islamic Bank of Jordan and its role in achieving social development, and among the findings that the Islamic Bank of Jordan contributed to the achievement of social development through the good application of the standards of financial governance and its commitment to the principles of social responsibility as a social individual.
