Abstract EN

During the middle of the third century, the Roman Empire witnessed a political and military crisis, which pushed the authority to seek help from the Africans and a large proportion in the army, especially in sensitive and distinguished positions.

As the African component proved their competence in the military track in practice and morally, this distinction allowed them to occupy high and sensitive position in the administration in general and the military in particular, which allowed Africans to gradually regain the reins of government in many areas locally, and thus achieve a kind of independence that will be established.
