Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the degree of practising transformational leadership among academic department heads at Al-Baha University and its role in predicting the organizational identification of faculty staff.

The research sample consisted of a random sample of (127) faculty members.

The transformational leadership from the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and Organizational identification Questionnaire (OIQ) were used.

The research followed the descriptive correlational approach.

The results showed that the degree of transformational leadership practice is a high average of (4.067).

All dimensions got high rating.

The (Inspirational motivation) was the highest average, followed by(charisma), then (Individualized consideration) and finally the (Intellectual stimulation).

The results showed that the degree of organizational identification was a high average of (3.961).

All dimensions were high degree.

The dimension of (organizational loyalty) was the highest average, followed by (organizational similarity) and then (membership).

The results also indicated that there were no differences in organizational identification and its dimensions due to the variables, except for the organizational loyalty dimension, where there are differences in favor of the group less than five years old.

It was also found that the dimensions of transformational leadership contribute to predicting organizational identification, its sub-dimensions, with a significant degree.
